The normal
staffing of the box is a signalman and a train recorder,
(or two signalmen, one 'doing the book') though often
there is a production supervisor in attendance unless
required out at some incident or emergency. The Wakefield
Signalling Manager is based here too.
The SM, supervisors, and signalmen are a great bunch,
very competent and enthusiastic and there is generally
a very good rapport with the Yard staff and the drivers
