Mills is situated approximately half way between Wakefield
Kirkgate and Mirfield stations. It is visible from the slow
lines around the northern perimiter of the yard, which are
used by certain Huddersfield to Wakefield services

Transport
To reach Healey
Mills by public transport board an Arriva bus nos 128, 129,
231 or 232 at Wakefield Bus Station or in Westgate adjacent
to Wakefield Westgate railway station and alight at the Bingley
Arms in Horbury Bridge. Journey time approx 18mins. Walk back
towards Wakefield crossing the river Calder. Turn left into
Bridge Road before The Ship Inn and fork left into Storrs
Hill Road at the Horse & Jockey Public House. Continue
along Storrs Hill Road and the yard is on the left-hand side
where the road crosses over the railway . The official entrance
is a further 100yds on the left-hand side. A public footpath
runs along the northern boundary another 10 yards further.

Via Car
From the M1 North: Leave
the M1 at junction 39 and take A636 towards Wakefield. Straight
on over two roundabouts and through one set of traffic lights.
Turn left into Thornes Road immediately after passing under
the railway. Continue into Thornbury Road (bearing right)
and at the end turn left onto A642 Horbury Road.(BP garage
on left at junction). Continue along this road passing back
underneath the M1 and onto Horbury By-pass. Eventually the
road narrows and goes downhill before passing over the railway.
Cross the railway and take the third turning on the right
into Old Bridge Street. Turn right at the Horse & Jockey
into Storrs Hill Road
From Leeds and M1 South:
Leave the M1 at junction 40 and take A638 towards Wakefield.
At the second set of traffic lights turn right into Queens
Drive and pass back under the motorway. At the end turn left
into Station Road. Continue to the traffic lights and turn
right into Manor Road. At the end of this road turn left and
turn right immediately after the pedestrian crossing into
Storrs Hill Road. The yard is at the bottom of the hill on
the right hand side
