Healey Mills PSB - Chief Exec John Armitt visits Healey Mills PSB

Network Rail Chief Executive John Armitt visited Healey Mills PSB on Tuesday 3rd June, chatted with the signalling staff and managers.

The old panel display and operating console fascias have been saved for preservation, but the rest of the former panel has been dismantled for scrap.

Contractors are putting the finishing touches to staff facilities etc to complete the refurbishment of the signalbox.

So far the panel and signalling equipment has worked very well indeed, with very few 'glitches' - a testament to the work of the contractors, and the planning, which involved signalling staff.

Resident signaller David Pendleton signalled the last trains on the old panel, while the first trains were signalled on the new panel by............David Pendleton!
