We are currently celebrating 40 plus years of Healey Mills signal box and yard, as well as the recent £9m refurbishment of the box and signalling (more ongoing).
On Friday 1st October we shall be visited by the Mayor of Wakefield, MP Bill O'Brien, the media and other guests.
From 1400-1800 we invite active and retired rail staff - signallers, drivers, guards etc - to visit us for a look at the control room (under controlled conditions), and partake of light refreshments.
Admittance will be strictly by rail staff identity card, or Priv card for retired staff.
