56106 it was, except that it failed somewhere early on,and the charter passed Rotherham over an hour down behind 66560 (surprisingly) with 56106 inside.
56078 which had been basking in the sun at H.M.as I passed earlier in the day was then purloined and substituted for the other 2 locos (presumably at Belle Vue).
It then proceeded in the direction of the S.&.C passing Stourton at 12.15--still only an hour down.
A couple of good shots therefore--shame the light was poor both times!

56106 FAILED AROUND THE CHESTERFIELD AREA DUE TO LOW POWER+BRAKE PROBLEMS.66560 WAS HIRED IN FROM THE RIVALS AND THE HM DRIVER TOOK THE TRAIN FORWARD TO CALDER BRIDGE LOOP WHERE 66560+56106 DETACHED AND ANOTHER HM DRIVER TOOK THE TRAIN FORWARD TO CARLISLE WITH 56078.
AFTER LEAVING THE GRID AT HM THE GREEN SHED WAS RETURNED TO THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS AT MIDLAND ROAD!!!
